'Deforestation-free Supply Chains': New webinar by Forest Trends & Innovation Forum | 12 July 2016
The initiative aims to track corporate commitments to deforestation-free supply chains in the "big four" agricultural commodities – palm, timber & pulp, soy and cattle.
The discussion will focus on the key findings of a new report from Forest Trends’ Supply Change Project, to assess the status of – and trends in – 579 public commitments made by 366 companies from all around the world.
The panel - including Ignacio Gavilan, Sustainability director of The Consumer Goods Forum and Marco Albani, Director of Tropical Forest Alliance 2020 and member of the Executive Committee at World Economic Forum - will address questions around:
- Who these companies are and what commitments they have made;
- What’s working, and what progress have they made towards reducing deforestation linked to their supply chain;
- What lessons we can learn from them.
