MAKING CONSTRUCTION SUSTAINABLE

Wood allows us to build beautiful, high-quality, and quick – while reducing our carbon footprint. That’s why we’re passionate advocates for timber as a way to create a better world – today.

The timber industry

We are a £10bn supply chain in the UK, employing thousands of people in sustainable construction, all the way from the forest to the building site. The businesses we represent are leaders in timber, and as a supply chain we strive to build low carbon, high quality solutions to solve the UK’s housing and climate crises.

Build it better with wood

Wood absorbs and stores carbon dioxide, while using less energy to convert it into a building material. This is why it is regarded as one of the lowest embodied carbon building materials. By choosing to build with timber over more energy-intensive materials, you support a supply chain which lives in harmony with nature.
